Ascendo Resources is actively seeking an AR/Collections Specialist for a 3+ month contract to help reduce outstanding receivables for our client located in Lanham, Maryland (20706).

This is a great entry-level opportunity for candidates with strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), who are comfortable working with spreadsheets and communicating professionally with clients to collect on outstanding payments.

Part-Time AR/Collections Specialist
Location: Latham, MD
Schedule: Monday–Friday), 8:00am–5:00pm (flexible), 40 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $25/hr

Duration: 3-4 months
100% Onsite Role | Free Parking

Must Have Keys:

  • Advanced Excel Skills – Proficiency with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and spreadsheet management for AR/collections reporting.
  • Strong Communication Skills – Clear, professional written and verbal communication with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency – Hands-on experience with Excel, Word, and especially Outlook for email correspondence and scheduling.
  • Collaborative Team Player – Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams through email and Microsoft Teams for daily updates and follow-ups.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable AR/Collections Administrator to join our finance team on a short-term, part-time basis. This role will focus on clearing a $1M accounts receivable backlog in NetSuite, supporting daily administrative tasks, and assisting with collections communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update AR and collections data in NetSuite.
  • Prepare and send customer communications using standardized email templates.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets; perform VLOOKUPs and create pivot tables.
  • Provide daily progress updates to the AR/Collections team via Microsoft Teams.
  • Support administrative tasks to ensure smooth team operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of AR/collections or administrative finance experience.
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data formatting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick learner, proactive, and highly organized.

Team Structure
You will join a 3-member AR/Collections team working collaboratively to clean up outstanding receivables.
